Windsor Basketball Week 1
Windsor defeated Sweet Springs last Tuesday night 73 to 64. Sweet Springs played them tough throughout the game with a big time inside presence and a few shooters from the outside to keep the Hounds on edge. Windsor was able to pull away in the second half however, mainly due to their increased defensive intensity. Chase Drenon was able to spread the defense as he was able to knock down three 3-pointers. Dillon Johnson and Trenton Scott lead the way on the defensive end for the Hounds as they combined to limit Sweet Springs' number one outside threat to only 1 point the entire second half.
Windsor defeated Otterville Friday night 65 to 46. The Eagles of Otterville played a tough first half as both teams went into halftime tied at 32. The Hounds pulled away in the second half however, outscoring the Eagles 33 to 14 in the second half. Daniel Sanders led the Hounds in scoring with 26 points and 10 rebounds. Ryan Hamilton also had a double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Zane Anstine came off an ankle injury from earlier in the week and contributed 7 points and 11 rebounds.
