Leeton
The atmosphere was electric Tuesday night as the Windsor Greyhounds played an intense game against rival Leeton. As expected it was a tough, hard fought battle the whole game. The Greyhounds were up by 3 at halftime, but due to some nice offense supplied by Cameron Elwell (20 points) and other Bulldogs in the second half, the Hounds ended up on the short end of a 61 to 54 defeat to the well-coached Bulldog team. Daniel Sanders led the Hounds with 28 points. Ryan Hamilton had a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Zane Anstine and Dillon Johnson also contributed 5 points a piece. The Windsor Greyhounds will compete again in their own Windsor Classic Tournament this week at Windsor High School. Check the Windsor Basketball website for game times!
Warsaw
The Windsor Greyhounds were unable to overcome early foul trouble and lost a close one last night to the Warsaw Wildcats, 66 to 60. The Greyhounds were led by Daniel Sanders who finished with 21 points and Zane Anstine who added 10 points. Derek Riggs led the Greyhounds with 7 rebounds. The Wildcats were put over the top by some hot shooting from Clint Schwach, who finished with 22 points—including 4 three pointers (3 of them coming in the fourth). Despite only making four field goals, Corey Stackhouse added 24 points by going to the free throw line 16 times himself.
