Week 2

The second week of the season was an overall success for the Greyhounds. They beat Northwest Higgins 54 to 37 on Monday night with some fairly balanced scoring as 10 Greyhounds ended up scoring during the game. Ryan Hamilton led the Hounds with 17 points, Sanders had 13, Johnson contributed 6, and Madole put in 5.

The next test was against Lincoln on Thursday night. The Greyhounds got up to an early 15 point lead at halftime but saw the Cardinals come storming back in the second half to get within 3 points near the end of the game. Some clutch free throw shooting by Ryan Hamilton and Dillon Johnson kept the Cardinals from catching the Hounds, and the Greyhounds prevailed 63 to 58. Daniel Sanders led the Hounds with 28 points. Dillon Johnson contributed 9 points.

Friday night was the home opener for the Greyhounds against the tough Concordia Orioles. Concordia came with a solid performance and was not feeling any empathy for it being our home opener. Concordia's Chris Brown dropped 30 points on the Hounds including 5 three pointers! The Hounds kept on battling regardless of the impressive Oriole shooting and found themselves within 5 at halftime. The second half belonged to the Orioles, as the Hounds struggled from the Free Throw line. The final score was 71 to 56. Daniel Sanders led the Hounds with 20 points and Chase Drenon contributed 15.
